Colorado Christian University’s Scripture Memory Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate the ability to memorize a complete book of the Bible. The scholarship allows students to use their memories to reduce tuition costs — benefiting their faith and their finances at the same time.
Scholarship Details
- Administered by Colorado Christian University’s College of Undergraduate Studies
- Awarded to students who successfully memorize an entire book of the Bible
- Open to students enrolled or enrolling in the next semester or academic year
- Students may choose any translation or multiple translations of the Bible
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a current or incoming student in Colorado Christian University’s College of Undergraduate Studies
- Must memorize and recite an entire book of the Bible from a recognized translation
- Recitation must be verbatim or nearly verbatim, demonstrating strong command of the passage
- Must complete the recitation before at least two witnesses who can verify accuracy
- Witnesses may be family members, friends, or other credible individuals who can complete verification documentation
Application Process
- Select one or more books of the Bible to memorize from a recognized translation
- Begin memorization and ensure you have two or more witnesses who will verify your recitation
- Email Sarah Morgan in Student Financial Services to declare your intent to apply for the Scripture Memory Scholarship and list the book(s) you will memorize
- Recite the entire book of the Bible verbatim in front of your witnesses
- Have your witnesses complete the Scripture Memory Scholarship Verification form for each book memorized
Please Note: You must be a current student enrolled in the College of Undergraduate Studies, or will be enrolling in the next semester or academic year. (This scholarship is not available to students who are attending the College of Adult and Graduate (CAGS) program or other colleges/universities.)
