Scholarship Description

As part of our commitment to Global Relocation, CRC is sponsoring a scholarship program for current high school seniors who relocated into the Chicagoland area at some point between grades 9 and 12. CRC would like to encourage your students to apply for this scholarship via email. An award of $2,500 will be presented to a Chicago-area high school senior for 2026. The award will be sent to the college the student has chosen to attend, to assist with tuition, etc.

Scholarship Details

  • $2,500 scholarship awarded to one eligible high school senior
  • Funds are sent directly to the student’s chosen college or university
  • Designed to support students who relocated to the Chicagoland area during high school
  • Selection based on academics, extracurricular involvement, and a relocation-focused essay
  • Scholarship will be awarded at a CRC meeting on a date to be announced

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have relocated between grades 9 and 12
  • Relocation must have been more than 50 miles
  • Must have changed schools due to relocation to the Chicagoland area
  • Must be a currently enrolled high school senior in good standing at a Chicagoland area school
  • Eligible counties include Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will in Illinois
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent

Application Process

  1. Confirm eligibility based on relocation history, enrollment, and GPA
  2. Prepare academic and extracurricular information for submission
  3. Write an essay describing how you handled the challenges of relocating and adjusting to a new high school
  4. Submit a complete application package as instructed by CRC
  5. Await notification and potential award presentation at a CRC meeting

CRC is a non-profit organization that brings together corporations and global relocation service providers in Chicago for the primary purpose of providing educational information and current industry updates to its members. Education can be a very important part of the relocation process for children moving into the Chicagoland area.
