Scholarship Details
- Award amount of $1,500
- Open to students transferring from a community college or other eligible two-year institution to a four-year college or university.
- Applicants are notified of their application status within six months after the application deadline
Eligibility Criteria
- Have completed at least two transferable geography courses
- Plan to transfer to a four-year college or university during the upcoming academic year
- Intend to major in geography at the four-year institution
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application before the published deadline
- Upload your academic transcripts as part of the application
- Arrange for two letters of recommendation from college instructors to be submitted
- Submit all required application materials before the deadline
- If selected, provide official proof of admission to a four-year institution and documentation verifying your geography major
Selection will be based on the overall quality of the application, scholastic excellence and academic promise. Financial need will also be considered. The selection committee will observe the purposes and preferences noted above when evaluating proposals.
