Scholarship Description

The 2026 Desire To Inspire Scholarship is a one-time financial award. First place is $2000, second place is $1000, and third place is $500. This scholarship is dedicated to recognizing young individuals from historically underrepresented minority groups who are interested in a career in healthcare and are making a determined effort to inspire others.

Scholarship Details

  • 1st place: $2,000, 2nd place: $1,000, 3rd place: $500
  • Awarded to students pursuing healthcare careers who are actively inspiring others
  • Finalists participate in a public voting competition to determine final rankings

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be from a historically underrepresented minority group
  • Must demonstrate interest in a career in healthcare
  • Must be making an effort to inspire others through personal actions or leadership
  • Open to students of all levels pursuing education for career advancement in healthcare

Application Process

  1. Visit our website to find and apply for the Desire To Inspire Scholarship
  2. Complete the application and submit answers to the scholarship essay questions
  3. Ensure the application is submitted by the deadline: July 12th at 11:59 PM EST
  4. Applications will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on content, grammar, voice, coherence, effort, and quality of experiences
  5. Semi-finalist notifications and interviews will take place in September
  6. Finalist notifications and interviews will take place in October
  7. Winners will be announced by November

After the competition ends, the final scores will be tallied and the winners of the Desire To Inspire Scholarship will be officially announced. The three winners will receive their scholarship awards from Bold.org and each of the five finalists will receive a certificate. In the unlikely event of a tie, the scholarship will be split between the individuals engaged in it.
