Historic Huguenot Street promotes outstanding research and scholarship among students in such topical areas as decorative arts, Indigenous history and culture, the African American experience in the Hudson Valley, and Huguenot history and culture. The scholarships are offered to eligible undergraduate and graduate students in collaboration with Historic Huguenot Street and the Hasbrouck Family Association. Awards will be applied to the spring semester.
Scholarship Details
- Two $1,000 scholarships awarded annually
- Funds are applied to the spring semester
- Focus on topics related to Huguenot history, decorative arts, Indigenous culture, and African American experiences in the Hudson Valley

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be of documented Huguenot descent
- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at a U.S. academic institution
- Must demonstrate alignment with the values and mission of Historic Huguenot Street
Application Process
- Gather documentation of Huguenot descent
- Prepare a statement or essay demonstrating how your personal ideals align with the mission of Historic Huguenot Street
- Submit an application to Historic Huguenot Street by the specified deadline (check the HHS website or contact the organization for dates)
- Include academic transcripts and any additional materials requested by the scholarship committee
Applicants must: be of documented Huguenot descent ; be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree at an academic institution in the United States; and possess ideals that are exemplified in the HHS mission. Two scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded.
