The Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans (JCCIA) is proud to offer – from the Frank J. Vigilante Scholarship Fund – scholarships that are awarded to students of Italian extraction demonstrating financial need and high academic achievement.
Scholarship Details
- Selection is based on heritage, need, academic achievement, application quality and a personal essay
- Applicants must provide proof of admission to or enrollment at an accredited institution of higher education
- Recipients are required to attend the JCCIA Christmas Party in December to receive their scholarship award
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be of Italian extraction
- Must be a resident of Illinois
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must have a strong academic record
Application Process
- Complete the JCCIA Frank J. Vigilante Scholarship application
- Write a personal essay of 500 words or less explaining how the scholarship will help you achieve your personal and professional goals
- Gather all required supporting documentation, including proof of admission to or enrollment at an accredited institution if applicable
- Combine the completed application and all required documentation into a single PDF file
- Submit the complete PDF electronically through the JCCIA website by the application deadline
