Scholarship Details
- The Frank O'Bannon Grant consists of the Higher Education Award and the Freedom of Choice Grant

- For approved public state educational institutions other than Ivy Tech Community College, awards must equal fifty percent of the awards for students attending private institutions
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an Indiana resident by December 31 of the year before applying for aid
- Must remain an Indiana resident throughout the academic year
- Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Must be a high school graduate or hold a GED
- Must attend or plan to attend an eligible Indiana postsecondary institution
- Must be enrolled or plan to enroll in a program leading to an associate or first bachelor's degree, or be seeking a certificate at Ivy Tech Community College or Vincennes University
- Must be enrolled or plan to enroll as a full-time student
- Must meet annual credit completion requirements to renew the award
- Students earning 24 to 29 credit hours will receive a Full-time award amount
- Students earning 30 or more credit hours will receive an On-time award amount, which is the maximum award

- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Provide accurate information about the student's and family's financial circumstances so the Federal Student Aid Index can be calculated
- Maintain the required enrollment, credit completion and Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements to remain eligible for renewal
