Now that you’ve earned a Gold Award, did you know that you can apply for a national scholarship for your post-secondary education? The GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship recognizes and provides financial support to one Gold Award Girl Scout per council and one from USA Girl Scouts Overseas.
Scholarship Details
- $5,000 scholarship for one recipient per Girl Scout council and one overseas recipient
- Supports post-secondary education expenses
- Recognizes exceptional Gold Award projects with measurable, sustainable impact
- Includes an official award letter and national recognition
- Winners featured on the Gold Award Girl Scouts Class webpage and in Girl Scout promotions
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Gold Award Girl Scout
- Must be a current high school senior earning the award by April 1st, or a recent graduate who earned the award after March 31st
- Gold Award project must show extraordinary leadership and address a national or global issue
- Eligibility must be confirmed through your local council
Application Process
- Verify your Gold Award approval date with your local Girl Scout council
- Visit the GSUSA website or contact your council for the official application form and details
- Complete all application requirements, including documentation of your Gold Award project
- Submit your application by the specified deadline
Scholarship recipients must have completed a Gold Award project that demonstrates extraordinary leadership and measurable, sustainable impact and addresses an issue of national and/or global significance.
