The L’Oréal Professionnel LGBTQIA+ Cosmetology Student Scholarship was created to support aspiring cosmetology students who are currently pursuing their degree. Our values of inspiring education, creating trends and pioneering research showcase that we continue to live by our brand mission of empowering and standing for Pros’. The scholarship awards up to $5,000 in tuition funding for students enrolled or accepted in a cosmetology program at any accredited institution.
Scholarship Details
- Sponsored by L’Oréal Professionnel
- Supports students pursuing licensure through an accredited cosmetology program in the United States
- One scholarship of up to $5,000 is awarded during each application cycle
- Scholarship funds are applied toward cosmetology tuition expenses
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be at least 18 years old by the start of the cosmetology program
- Must be accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited United States cosmetology program that leads to professional licensure
- Must identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community
- Must provide proof of enrollment or acceptance in an eligible cosmetology program
Application Process
- Complete the online scholarship application
- Upload proof of enrollment or acceptance, such as an enrollment verification, official acceptance letter, or progress report from an accredited cosmetology school
- Create and submit a public YouTube video no longer than three minutes
- In the video, explain when you discovered your passion for the beauty industry, how the scholarship will help you achieve your goal of becoming a licensed cosmetology professional, and how you plan to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the beauty industry
- Submit all required application materials before the published application deadline
