The NALP Foundation provides scholarships to students pursuing landscape contracting or horticulture programs at post-secondary schools. The scholarships support students who demonstrate academic achievement, career goals, leadership, community involvement and professional development in the landscape and horticulture fields.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarships range from $1,000 to $5,000
- Scholarship recipients are recognized annually at the National Collegiate Landscape Competition
- Attendance at the National Collegiate Landscape Competition is not required for scholarship recipients
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be enrolled in a two- or four-year post-secondary landscape or horticulture program
- Must have an interest in pursuing a career related to landscape contracting or horticulture
- Must have clear goals and career objectives
Application Process
- Prepare two letters of recommendation
- Obtain an up-to-date academic transcript
- Prepare a recent photo to include with the application
- Describe your educational goals, career objectives, passions and professional aspirations
- Highlight participation in the National Collegiate Landscape Competition and other professional conferences, events, or competitions, along with achievements and skills gained
- Describe school activities, clubs, organizations, community service, workshops and seminars in which you have participated
- List leadership roles, initiatives, projects and mentorship experiences
- Include your work experience, including internships, job responsibilities, tasks performed and skills developed
- Review the completed application and submit it with all required materials
