The City of Lawrenceburg established the Paul E. “Truck” Tremain Memorial Scholarship Program at the Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF) with the intent to financially assist graduates of Lawrenceburg High School (LHS) who pursue a post-secondary education and who meet specific eligibility criteria.
Scholarship Details
- The current scholarship amount is $1,800 per recipient
- The scholarship may be received for up to four consecutive years of postsecondary education
- The scholarship amount for qualifying recipients is determined annually by the Lawrenceburg City Council
- Available to qualifying graduates of Lawrenceburg High School
- Both new applicants and eligible previous recipients may apply through the appropriate application process
- The scholarship is administered through the Dearborn Community Foundation
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a graduate of Lawrenceburg High School
- Must pursue a postsecondary education
- Lawrenceburg High School students must complete at least 50 approved Community Service Learning volunteer hours by their graduation date
- Community Service Learning hours must be approved by the Dearborn Community Foundation
- Renewal applicants must continue to meet the applicable scholarship guidelines and eligibility requirements
Application Process
- Review the Paul E. “Truck” Tremain Memorial Scholarship guidelines and eligibility criteria.
- Complete the appropriate online application for either a new scholarship or a renewal award.
- Complete at least 50 approved Community Service Learning hours by high school graduation if applying as a Lawrenceburg High School senior.
- Complete and obtain the required signatures on the Community Service Learning Report Forms.
- Complete all other application requirements according to the Dearborn Community Foundation's instructions.
As stated in the Guidelines and Eligibility Criteria, LHS students must complete a total of 50 approved Community Service Learning (volunteer) hours by their graduation date. Service learning hours must be approved by DCF. Completed and signed service learning report forms must be on file at the Foundation office by 4 p.m. on June 7th to be eligible.
