The Sacramento Chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR/Sacramento) is excited to offer the High School Scholarship Essay Contest in collaboration with Americans Against Gun Violence. This contest invites California high school students to submit a 500-word essay reflecting on a significant aspect of gun violence prevention. With a substantial scholarship fund, this contest aims to engage young minds in critical thinking about gun control and its implications in the United States.

  2. Write an original essay of 500 words or fewer on the given topic
  3. Submit the essay through the online entry form on the Americans Against Gun Violence website

The scholarship essay contest is run entirely with volunteer labor, and 100% of contributions to the scholarship essay contest fund go directly to student awards.
