- Write an original essay of 500 words or fewer on the given topic
- Submit the essay through the online entry form on the Americans Against Gun Violence website

The scholarship essay contest is run entirely with volunteer labor, and 100% of contributions to the scholarship essay contest fund go directly to student awards.
