Key Features of the Opportunity Scholarship:
• Comprehensive Coverage: The Opportunity Scholarship Award covers tuition, fees, on-campus housing, and meals at one of our partner colleges, with a maximum support of $80,000 for a bachelor’s degree.
• Renewable Award: This is not a one-time grant. The Opportunity Scholarship is renewable each year, provided you meet the continuing eligibility criteria, including continuous full-time enrollment.
Eligibility Criteria:
You are eligible to apply for our scholarship if you meet the following criteria:
• Undocumented Status: You are undocumented and arrived in the United States before November 1, 2017, maintaining continuous residence since then, or you have DACA or TPS.
• Early Arrival: You came to the United States before the age of 16 (Note: If born in the U.S., you are not eligible for our scholarship).
• Financial Need: Demonstrated significant unmet financial need.
• Residence: You live in and have graduated or will graduate from a high school in a targeted locked-out state.
• Academic Performance: Graduated or will graduate with a high school GPA of 2.5 or possess a cumulative college/university GPA of 2.5.
• Intent to Enroll: You intend to relocate to and enroll full-time in a bachelor’s degree program at an Opportunity Partner College.
