The Navy Seabee Foundation offers scholarships to children and grandchildren of individuals who served with the Naval Construction Force. This scholarship provides educational support to students carrying forward the legacy of America’s Fighting Seabees.
Scholarship Details
- Offers scholarships for accredited two-year and four-year degree programs, as well as Career and Technical Education programs
- Applications are open from January 1st through April 15th each year
- Notifications go out by June 30th
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be children or grandchildren of an eligible Naval Construction Force or Navy Civil Engineer Corps sponsor
- Applicants must be high school seniors or entering college for the first time as freshmen
- Applicants must be under 23 years of age
- Step-children and step-grandchildren may need additional documentation proving their relationship to the qualifying military parent or grandparent
- Applicants must meet the minimum 2.5 unweighted GPA requirement.
Application Process
- Confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements and have a qualifying Naval Construction Force parent or grandparent
- Complete the FAFSA to provide information used to determine financial need
- Provide an official unweighted transcript showing the minimum GPA requirement
- If the transcript does not include the unweighted GPA, obtain a letter from your school counselor confirming your unweighted GPA
- Submit the required letter of recommendation, essay, extracurricular activities, and work experience information
- Provide any additional documentation required to verify a qualifying relationship, if applicable
- Submit the completed application and all supporting documents online
- Wait for scholarship selection results
