The Simon Youth Foundation Greg Saunders Legacy Scholarship Program helps students pursue higher education by providing financial assistance for post-secondary expenses. Awards may support students attending accredited, nonprofit two- or four-year colleges and universities, as well as qualifying vocational, polytechnic and trade schools.
Scholarship Details
- Awards of up to $3,000 are available annually
- Students may reapply each year if they remain eligible
- Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment required for the student's course load
- Funds are disbursed on or about August 1st for the fall semester and on or about December 1st for the spring semester
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a dependent child of a full-time or part-time employee of Simon Property Group
- The Simon Property Group employee must have been employed for at least one year as of the application deadline
- Applicants must be 23 years old or younger
- Applicants must be a high school senior or current college student
- Applicants must plan to enroll full-time in the fall semester at post-secondary school or program
Application Process
- Create login information through the Simon Youth Foundation application system
- Submit a high school or secondary school transcript if you are a current high school or secondary school senior or a current college freshman
- Submit a college or university transcript if you are a current college student
- Submit your FAFSA Student Aid Report
- Arrange for a letter of recommendation to be submitted with your application
- Make sure your application and recommendation are both received by the deadline. An application without the required recommendation is considered incomplete, will not be scored, and will not receive a selection notification
- Wait for the selection notification, which is sent to all complete applicants
