The Eric Pardall Memorial Scholarship supports students pursuing careers in agriculture, automotive or diesel repair, construction, engineering, healthcare, nursing, or other trades. Applicants may be of differing educational backgrounds. Selection is based on factors including financial need, personal character, and career goals.
Scholarship Details
- Each scholarship provides $2,500 per year
- The scholarship is renewable for up to four years
- Scholarship funds are sent directly to the recipient’s college or university
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants may be high school seniors, college students, continuing education students or students pursuing a new career
- Applicants must be pursuing studies in agriculture, automotive or diesel repair, construction, engineering, healthcare, medical or nursing fields or any trade
- Applicants must live in Lee County or have a permanent address in Lee County, or be a graduate of Central Lee High School, Fort Madison High School or Holy Trinity Catholic Schools
- Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.0 and generally no higher than 3.5
- Applicants with a GPA of 3.5 or higher may be considered if special circumstances are met under the program
- Selection criteria include financial need, personal character and career aspirations
Application Process
- Complete and submit the scholarship application
- If selected, high school students will typically be notified at their high school award ceremony in May, while other applicants will receive notification by email in early June
- All applicants will receive their final application results by email in mid-June
- If awarded, watch for an email between June 15th and June 30th with instructions for accepting the scholarship
- Submit proof of enrollment and a thank you letter to the Pardall Family as part of the award acceptance requirements
- If renewing the scholarship in a subsequent year, submit the renewal application and demonstrate adequate progress toward completing the degree or program
