The Bryant Gladney Paramedic Education Scholarship supports students pursuing education to become licensed paramedics and build lifelong careers in emergency medicine. Applicants should demonstrate a strong passion for serving their communities and must attend an eligible accredited paramedic program.
Scholarship Details
- Six scholarships of $2,000 are awarded each semester
- Scholarship funds are paid directly to the recipient’s institution and may be used for tuition only
- Recipients must successfully complete their paramedic course or repay the scholarship award
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be attending a program to become a licensed paramedic
- Applicants must attend an eligible accredited institution or program that meets the scholarship’s accreditation requirements
- Previous Bryant Gladney Foundation scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply
- Applicants who have served in the armed forces may submit military service documentation and receive five additional points
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application
- Obtain a signed letter of recommendation from a non-relative who has personal knowledge of your career goals and work ethic
- Upload transcripts covering the last three academic years in which you have been enrolled. High school and/or college transcripts may be submitted, and unofficial transcripts are accepted as long as they show courses and grades
- Choose one of the two essay prompts provided in the application and write an essay responding to the selected prompt
- Upload all required documents in PDF format
- Wait for the application review and selection process. Applicants selected for Round 2 will be invited to complete a Zoom interview with the Bryant Gladney Foundation
- Complete the required Zoom interview if selected for Round 2. Applicants who decline to participate in the interview will be disqualified
