Each year, the Arab-American Women's Business Council awards scholarships to deserving students. These scholarships support educational opportunities and help foster talent within the Arab-American community.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarships are awarded annually by the Arab-American Women's Business Council
- Scholarships are presented at the Arab-American Women's Business Council's Annual Signature Event
- Once the recipient submits the Scholarship Award Acceptance form and confirms their college or university, the scholarship check will be made payable and mailed to the college listed on the form
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be female and of Arab descent
- Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university in Michigan
- Michigan high school seniors planning to attend college during the upcoming academic year may also apply
- Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to reapply
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application form
- Obtain the required signature from the applicant and a counselor or advisor
- Request and obtain official transcripts
- Prepare an essay and submit it in Google Docs or Microsoft Word format
- Obtain a letter of recommendation
- Prepare a brief statement demonstrating financial need
- If you are a high school student, provide documentation showing college admission and/or submission of a college application
- Email the completed application and requested documents in Microsoft Word or Google Docs format by the deadline at 11:59 p.m
- If selected, submit the completed Scholarship Award Acceptance form to the Arab-American Women's Business Council and confirm the college or university you will attend
- Attend the Arab-American Women's Business Council's Annual Signature Event to accept the scholarship award
