Scholarship Description

The Oregon Barber and Hairdressers (B&H) Grant Program provides one-time grants to low-income students who are attending a licensed school of barbering, hair design, cosmetology, or manicure in Oregon that participates in Federal Title IV student aid programs and in the B&H Grant Program. There is not a separate application for the B&H grant. You only need to file the FAFSA or ORSAA and contact your school to let them know you are interested. You can apply any time. However, your information must be received by the school you plan to attend no later than February 1 of the award year.

To be eligible for the Oregon Barber and Hairdressers Grant, applicants must: be a resident of Oregon; attend a licensed school of barbering, hair design, cosmetology, or manicure in Oregon that participates in Federal Title IV financial aid programs and participates in the B&H Grant Program; enroll full-time in a program which is at least nine months long or 900 clock hours; and demonstrate financial need. Dollar amounts will vary.
