She was the driving force behind the organization of the Women's Southern California Golf Association. It was her firm but gentle hand that guided the association's first steps. She served as WSCGA's first President from 1922-1928 and again from 1937-38.

She was appointed as Advisor to the Board of the WSCGA for life, in which post she gave of her knowledge and experience until her death in November of 1957. She also received a life membership in the Los Angeles Country Club for her outstanding interest and activity in the promotion of women's golf.

In 1954, WSCGA honored Anne Trabue by creating a trophy known as the Anne Trabue Trophy.
