Hi my name is Sahra Mahamud and I am writing to apply for the scholarship opportunity. I am a first-generation college student, Muslim American woman, and I am currently attending Normandale Community College and applying for the Dental Hygiene program at Herzing University. I am deeply passionate about the field of dental hygiene and I am eager to begin my journey in the hygiene program this fall. As a dental assisting student, I have had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field and further my understanding of the importance of oral health. I have witnessed the positive impact that proper dental care can have on a person's overall health and well-being and I am determined to make a difference in my community as a dental hygienist. I believe that my background and experiences make me a strong candidate for this scholarship and I am grateful for the opportunity to apply. I am eager to continue my education and I am confident that receiving this scholarship will help me achieve my goals.

I am a 17-year-old high senior, applying to Howard university. My Career goal is to one day earn a doctorate degree and specialize in women's health. I want to become an Obstetric Gynecologist and help women get the best health they need. I am currently enrolled in a magnet program at my high school, which will help me graduate with a Certified Nursing Assistance certification. With this certification I hope to get the best experience from hospitals and familiarize myself with the healthcare settings. I am deeply passionate when it comes to the medical field, and I really want to further advance my studies and broaden my horizons. I hope to be part of the ten recipients of this scholarship because I am from a low-income family, which means I need all the grants and financial aid I can get to further my education and accomplish my life and career goals.

I applied for this scholarship to assist with the payment of my tuition at Xavier University. I am an in coming freshman majoring in biology pre med with the goal of becoming a clinical psychiatrist. I have thankfully been awarded half of my tuition through a scholarship from the school and would greatly benefit with assistance from The Freemont Foundation Scholarship Program.

I am seeking assistance to help pay for college. I am 40 years old and I am currently applying to college again after receiving my first 4 year degree in Criminal Justice in 2019. It took me 10 years to obtain my first degree due to financial hardship and paying for college. The Freemont Foundation Scholarship Program is available to students applying to graduated school as well. I am currently applying to Webster University in Columbia, South Carolina for my MA in Mental Health Counseling and I would be forever Grateful and Thankful if I am selected for this scholarship. Its a honor to be given an opportunity to be succeed. My started date is August 2021.
