OTEG is a need-based grant program that awards grants to Oklahoma residents enrolled as full-time undergraduates at certain qualified Oklahoma not-for-profit, private/independent institutions of higher education. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply.
Scholarship Details
- Need-based grant program for full-time undergraduate students at qualified private institutions in Oklahoma
- Award amount is $2,000 per academic year or $1,000 per academic semester
- Students are selected and notified by the institutions offering OTEG awards
Eligibility Criteria
- Must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and report Oklahoma as their state of legal residence
- Must be enrolled full-time in the fall and/or spring semesters at an eligible school
- Must have a family income of $50,000 or less
- Must demonstrate unmet financial need as determined by the institution’s financial aid office
- Must be an Oklahoma resident according to the State Regents' Policy on Residence Status
- Must meet the institution’s satisfactory academic progress requirements
- Must not have already received a grant for more than five consecutive years of study in a baccalaureate program
- Must not have earned a first bachelor’s degree

Application Process
- Complete the FAFSA each year for consideration and report Oklahoma as your state of legal residence
- Ensure full-time enrollment in the fall and/or spring semesters at an eligible institution
- Your institution’s financial aid office will evaluate eligibility and notify selected recipients
