Scholarship Description

Annually, SEAFWA’s Law Enforcement Chief’s Scholarships are awarded to students who advocate for wildlife conservation. There are three scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each available to deserving students. This award is intended for students with a passion for the outdoors and an interest in the management and protection of fish and wildlife resources. The scholarship will assist students who are currently studying wildlife, fisheries or law enforcement. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater, and be enrolled in an undergraduate program as a junior or senior with a minimum of 60 college hours in an accredited University.

The Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (SEAFWA) is an organization whose members are the state agencies with primary responsibility for the management and protection of the fish and wildlife resources in 15 states and two territories. Organized March 14, 1938, at a meeting of state officials at Jacksonville, Florida, the Association has played a major role in the evolution of state, regional, and national conservation affairs. Its officers and members have included many of the nation’s conservation leaders.
