Scholarship Description

The Hagan Scholarship stands as a nationwide beacon, a need-based merit scholarship specifically designed for high-achieving rural students. This scholarship opportunity is intended for those who graduate from public high schools situated in over twenty eligible states, specifically in counties with fewer than 50,000 residents.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must graduate from a public high school located in a rural area, as defined by counties with fewer than 50,000 residents.
  • Must be U.S. citizens and residents of an eligible state.
  • Should have attended an eligible public high school for their junior and senior years and be graduating in the upcoming spring.
  • Must have plans to attend an eligible four-year college or university.
  • High school Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • ACT score of 24 or higher, or SAT score of 1150 or higher.
