TCA Gareth Morgan Student Teacher Scholarship

• Scholarship Description
• Student teachers enrolled in a Latin certification program in Texas are encouraged to apply for the TCA Gareth Morgan Student Teacher Scholarship. Applicants must be student teaching in Latin and must be maintaining a 3.00 GPA in Latin or classics, with a 2.85 GPA overall. The monies received will be used during the semester the recipient is student teaching. To apply, please complete the appropriate application and attach an official copy of your transcript plus two letters of recommendation, one from a Latin/classics professor and one from an education professor. Attach an additional sheet to the application if necessary.

  The Texas Classical Association fosters the teaching of classics and encourages an interest in them in Texas. Membership is open to any current, future, or retired teachers in Texas at all levels from elementary to university. The TCA is proud to offer scholarships for student teachers, new teachers, teaching materials, professional development and high school seniors planning to continue studying Latin.
