Good Morning, I am in the United States Army. My job is military police. The reason why I joined was because I want my kids to be inspired by their mother that as long as you put 100% effort into your goals, you will achieve. As a single parent, managing work, kids, and school can be difficult, however I always put my time and effort to do better and better for my kids. I am passionate in early childhood education. I love sitting down and engaging with my children and teaching them on the materials they've learned in school, and spending that quality time making education fun. It was once said by Martin Luther King Jr, "intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education." It would mean a lot to me if I can get this scholarship so I can continue to be an influence to my kids and to pursue my goals.

I am in the US Army National Guard. I work full time and have a family of my own. I have a passion to help animals. I am going to school right now because I want to become a veterinarian. I look forward to graduating soon which is in the fall of 2021. I am looking for a 4 year college to transfer to, to pursue my career. I cannot afford to pay the tuition for some of these 4 year colleges. This scholarship would be of great help for me and it'll greatly help me get closer to my career goal. I am not sure how to apply for this scholarship because when I clicked on "apply now" it took me to this comment box. I hope this comment will be read by someone who understands my situation and could help me. I am a hard working military woman who strives for more and my motivation is my daughter, also my main motivation is my disabled veteran husband who always pushes me to be better.

When I joined the army I was (currently still) a single mother who would do anything for my daughter. I was looked down my many because I was a women who wants and has a voice. I want my daughter to know that others will put you down, but you will come up stronger. Women are fierce, powerful, accustomed to any obstacle in their way. I saw this scholarship and I want to take the opportunity to use this for my future, and my daughters future for a better life as a single mother. A women who stands taller than the sky. I want to be a nurse, I will be a nurse, both for the military and civilian side. Those who put down women and others because of the skin on my bones , of the race I'm proud to be, of their opinions I believe will not stop me from my educational goals to support my family.

Hello! I am a medic and I am currently serving in the United States Army. I joined in 2017 to help with my college tuition and I get out at the end of 2021. I am the first female in my family to ever have served in the Armed forces. I am currently applying for this scholarship to continue my education. I have completed some college classes while I served overseas in Afghanistan, and I would like to further my education and get my BSN. If you could help me in achieving this I would be eternally grateful. Thank you so much for your consideration.

I am a active duty Field Artillery Officer Veteran. After being medically retired, going back to graduate school has provided me purpose and a challenge I have greatly missed from the military. My army career ended earlier than I expected, and returning to school has allowed me to gain the education I need to serve in a new way in the education field, with the hopes of returning to teach on a military installation some day!

I am a disabled army veteran that served from 2007-2016. My goal was to fulfill my 20 years in the Army but due to physical and mental injuries I was not able to achieve that goal. Last 4 years has not been easy, thanks to the Veteran Affairs department my medical providers and mental health counselors I'm working on overcoming my struggles. I am currently enrolled in community college to complete my Associate Degree in Plant Science to transfer to Fresno State University in the near future. It took us, my educational counselor and myself a few months of research finding out what vocational career would fit best my abilities. It was not easy but we found one, Plant Science. Due to my disabilities I am unable to interact to often with people or environment that can trigger my PTSD levels, but I find myself in a very friendly environment when working outdoors. I live in California, central valley an agricultural zone with lots of employment opportunities. I'm currently unemployed which makes financial matters things difficult at home but I'm focus on educating myself and become again a productive citizen for this country. I believe agriculture is vital not only to California but to the nation's economy. This is the field where I want to make my contribution.

I am a disabled veteran that severed for 8 1/2 years. I am finishing up my Master's Degree and I am looking for some financial help to get my last few classes paid for. I would be honored to have this scholarship. My goal is to continue my education and obtain a Doctorate Degree in Finance. My dream is to teach college. I currently own a Puppy Academy that trains German Shepherd puppies for disabled veterans that suffer from PTSD, Seizures, and Psychiatric illnesses. Getting this scholarship would tremendously help me achieve my goals and continue to give back to those that serve our country.

I am serving in the Army currently, but I got in a bad accident. I'm recovering from my accident, but there is always a chance of the Army kicking me out. I'm trying to start graduate school before they kick me out. Fingers crossed that they don't kick me out and that I get this scholarship to help pay for school.
