The Grand Rapids Community Foundation's Joshua Esch Mitchell Aviation Scholarship is offered to first year undergraduate students who graduated from West Michigan Aviation Academy, or second year undergraduates from any high school, studying Aviation/Flight Science and have a pilots license, with a minimum 2.75 GPA.. A valid pilot’s certificate (not to include a Student Certificate) is required. A letter of recommendation from a professional in the aviation field is required. Scholarship recipients are selected by the Grand Rapids Community Foundation (GRCF) and applicants follow the GRCF process. Applications run from December until the due date.
