  • Scholarship Description
  • The John M. Azarian Memorial Armenian Youth Scholarship Fund was formed in 1976 following the untimely death of John M. Azarian, Sr., by his wife, Barbara. Since then the fund has issued awards totalling over $500,000.

    Multiple awards are granted each year. Applicants must be undergraduate students attending a college or university in the United States and demonstrate strong and compelling financial need. Applicants must also be of Armenian descent. Preference is given for church and Armenian-culture related activities.

    Grants are awarded each August. ALL applicants are notified if they have been selected or not, by letter, sometime after September 1. Checks are issued jointly to the applicant and college or university they attend.
