  • Scholarship Description
  • The Humana Foundation Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to the children of Humana associates who plan to pursue a college degree. Humana Scholars receive annual awards of up to $3,000 that are renewable for three years or until they earn their undergraduate degree.

    This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America. Scholarship Management Services is a leading national designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Selection is highly competitive and based on academics, financial need, community service, and school leadership. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, veteran status, or marital status.

    Children of officers of Humana Inc. or its subsidiaries are ineligible to apply to the program. This includes all associates with the title of president or vice president. Contract employees are also ineligible.

    The amount of awards granted to children of full-time associates is $3,000. The amount of awards granted to children of part-time associates is $1,500. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by the Humana Foundation.
