  • Scholarship Description
  • To support the next generation of communicators, the Texas Outdoor Writers Association offers the Dan Klepper Memorial Scholarship. The professional communicators of the Texas Outdoor Writers Association are dedicated to maintaining and improving skills in the written and spoken word, radio and television, photography, illustration, and electronic media. TOWA fosters fellowship among its members and enlightens audiences on the importance of our natural heritage while promoting its appreciation, enjoyment, and conservation.

    Eligibility:
    -Must be pursuing a career in the field of communication related to the outdoors, environmental conservation, or wildlife management and conservation
    -Communication careers may be in the areas of print media, television, radio, or electronic media
    -Currently enrolled college students are eligible to apply
