The GBHEM scholarship application opens in the early Winter of each year. You can only submit one application per year where it will be screened for all possible eligible programs. You may indicate on the first page of the scholarship application which of the below listed programs you would most like to be considered for. Scholarship programs are divided into three categories: General Scholarships, Racial-Ethnic Scholarships, and Ministry as a Career Scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria
- Racial-ethnic minority undergraduates
- UMC membership in Nashville, Tenn., or New Orleans districts for 3+ years
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
Application Process
- Submit one application to be screened for all eligible programs
- Indicate preferred scholarship program on the first page of the application
Designated for racial-ethnic minority undergraduates who have been members of the UMC within the Nashville, Tenn., or New Orleans districts for at least three years and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
