• Based on their experience, the Rhode Island Foundation believes that focus on three key areas will have the greatest impact on their state: improving economic, education, and health outcomes for all Rhode Islanders. Thanks to the generosity of many Rhode Islanders, the Foundation is able to offer scholarships and fellowships to students from middle school to post-graduate level, from communities throughout the state, and in many different fields of study.

  The Carter Roger Williams Scholarship helps Rhode Island students who appreciate and embody Roger Williams’s values and legacy attain a college education. This annual scholarship program is intended to inspire students and their parents to think big about what’s possible for their future and to value the role of education. Applicants must be current residents of Rhode Island who are high school seniors and have been accepted at an accredited post-secondary institution.
