Applicants for the Richard V. Hotson, Jr. and Stephen L. Teller Scholarship for LGBTQIA+ Students must identify as LGBTQIA+ and be enrolled in an accredited institution in Los Angeles area or at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Scholarship Details
- Exclusively for students in Community College Film/Television/Cinema/Theater programs.
- Intended to support careers in production aspects of film, television, or theater.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be enrolled in a Community College Film, Television, Cinema, or Theater program.
- Must have completed at least 12 units in the specified program.
- Focus on production rather than acting within the entertainment industry.
Application Process
- Verify your enrollment and unit completion in a relevant Community College program.
- Prepare and submit an application detailing your academic achievements and career aspirations in the production side of film, television, or theater.
- Include transcripts or documentation verifying the completion of the required units.
A variety of NCJWLA scholarships are available every Fall and Spring term. Students can apply to up to two scholarships and re-apply every semester. Funding is distributed directly to the schools. Funds are paid in full and are not fee-specific. Students in their last term are not eligible to apply.
