The Southern Automotive Women’s Forum (SAWF) supports the advancement of women in automotive careers by encouraging young women to pursue STEM fields—science, technology, engineering, and math. SAWF strives to inspire confidence, skills, and ambition among students, helping them explore opportunities in the automotive industry, from technicians to executives.
Scholarship Details
- Scholarship awards range from $2,500 to $5,000
- Awards are announced by June 30th
- Recipients are recognized at the SAWF Annual Conference in late July
- Recipients are encouraged but not required to attend the annual conference
- Recipients are expected to participate in the SAWF Mentoring Program
Eligibility Criteria
- Identify as a woman
- Enrolled or planning to enroll in a STEM-related field
- Attending an accredited two-year technical program, four-year undergraduate program, or graduate program
- Program of study supports a career in the automotive industry
- Attending school in a southern state
Application Process
- Review the full eligibility guidelines to confirm qualification
- Complete the SAWF scholarship application for the coming school year
- Submit all required application materials by March 23rd
Applicants must be women enrolled or planning to enroll in a STEM-related field at an accredited two-year technical program, four-year undergraduate program, or graduate program in a southern state. The field of study must support a career in the automotive industry.
