I recently applied to the Micheal Moody Fitness Scholarship because I have the passion for fitness and nutrition. I played football pretty much my entire life and what I tended to gravitate towards off the field was to help others reach their goals often even more than my own. Recently I earned a 4.0 in my first semester in college and had a pretty balanced lifestyle with still being able to help out with community service at my campus garden, creating time to exercise in the gym and still going bible studies every week. I pray I receive this scholarship!

I was very interested in this scholarship because not only have I played sports such as softball, basketball, track, and golf my whole life, but this year at the end of January my whole life changed. I decided that I wanted to be able to live a long and happy life, so I started my fitness journey. I started going to the gym everyday and through away the junk food. Growing up I hated anything healthy, but this past six months my perspective on a healthy life style has changed tremendously. Who would have ever thought that I could crave broccoli ? Since I started I have lost a total of forty-two pounds and I would like to lose a little more. I am so much happier, and I am exited to start college in a healthy way!

I applied for this scholarship because I have played sports my whole life I have been named captain every sport I played. Not because I am a super star athlete but because of my leadership abilities. I a have been a little in my church for many years now. I am a spiritual leader at the university I go to on the track team. I when the workouts in practice are hard I try to give everyone motivation and some hope that it is going to make us better. I try to be uplifting to those who are falling behind and try to push them to be better than the last lap they ran. I feel like I am a great candidate for this scholarship.
