A Twist of Fate Scholarship was created to help individuals with autoimmune diseases attend college to continue their educational journey and career path. Autoimmune diseases such, as but not limited to: Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis, Scleroderma, and more.
Scholarship Details
- Two scholarships awarded, each valued at $500
- Open to undergraduate, graduate, and vocational/trade school students
- Funds are distributed directly to recipients in August
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have a diagnosed autoimmune disease (e.g., lupus, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.)
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited U.S. college, university, or trade school
- May be a full-time or part-time student
- Finalists must provide physician verification of their condition
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application by April 30, 2026.
- Submit a 250–500 word essay responding to one of the provided prompts.
- Provide academic transcripts.
- Include a list of leadership roles and volunteer activities.
- Submit proof of college acceptance or current enrollment.
- Application deadline is April 30th
There will be two scholarships awarded, each for $500. Awardees will be contacted to coordinate the award acceptance. A check will be mailed directly to each awarded student in August.
