Scholarship Description

The Appalachian Chapter of the AADE is offering five $2,000 scholarships for the coming academic year to encourage high school seniors to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry. The scholarships are targeted toward students planning to major in engineering (petroleum, chemical, mechanical, environmental, civil) or other energy industry-related fields. The awards are based on academic excellence, financial need, and extenuating circumstances.

Scholarship Details

  • Number of scholarships: Three
  • Award amount: $2,500 (2 awards) and $5,000 (1 award)
  • Applicable to engineering and energy industry-related majors
  • Funds can be used toward tuition, fees, and educational expenses

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have a minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college in Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must submit a fully completed and signed AADE Scholarship Application

Application Process

  1. Complete the AADE Scholarship Application form.
  2. Gather proof of GPA, test scores, and college acceptance.
  3. Prepare a statement demonstrating financial need or extenuating circumstances (if applicable).
  4. Submit the completed application and supporting documents via email to Josh Doak by May 15.
