AAUW has been empowering women as individuals and as a community since 1881. For more than 130 years, we have worked together as a national grassroots organization to improve the lives of millions of women and their families. Our Hilo Branch has been offering scholarships to women of our community for decades, and is proud and pleased to continue to offer those scholarships in support of women attending Hawaii Community College and the University of Hawaii at Hilo.

- Must be attending or planning to attend Hawaii Community College or the University of Hawaii at Hilo

AAUW judges scholarship recipients on their grades, recommendations, work experiences, academic recognition, and personal essay. The funds are distributed directly to the recipients by AAUW Hilo Branch as a result of our fund raising efforts throughout the year. We are focused only on nursing students this year, which is a diversion from our traditional approach which has been to consider all majors.
