The AAUW Lower Connecticut Valley branch awards grants to women pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university. The scholarship is based on academic promise, performance, and financial need. AAUW is committed to advancing women’s issues while helping students complete their undergraduate education.
Scholarship Details
- Eight awards of $5,000 each
- Scholarship is exclusively for Middlesex and New London county Connecticut residents
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a woman
- Must be 20 years old by December 31st of the year the scholarship is awarded
- Must be a Middlesex or New London county Connecticut resident
- Must be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- May not have already received an AAUW LCV Education Grant twice
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application and submit by July 1st.
- Submit all required accompanying documents
- Submit two letters of recommendation.
- Provide proof of enrollment.
