Scholarship Description

The ACEC Colorado Scholarship & Education Foundation provides scholarships to Colorado students preparing for careers in consulting engineering and land surveying. The College Scholarship Program offers separate bachelor's and associate degree tracks, allowing students pursuing engineering degrees as well as technician and para-professional careers to qualify. Applications are open for scholarships supporting the academic year beginning in Fall.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarships support students preparing for careers in consulting engineering and land surveying
  • Bachelor's degree and associate degree scholarship tracks are available
  • Applications are submitted through the ACEC National Research Institute scholarship platform
  • The national scholarship platform automatically matches applicants with scholarships for which they may be eligible
  • Applicants may also have access to additional scholarship opportunities available through the national platform

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Bachelor's degree applicants must be juniors, seniors, or fifth-year students as of the fall of the next academic year who are pursuing engineering or land surveying at an ABET-accredited university in Colorado that meets applicable Engineering Accreditation Commission or Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission standards
  • Bachelor's degree applicants must be enrolled full-time as determined by their university
  • Bachelor's degree applicants must demonstrate an understanding of the consulting engineering and land surveying professions
  • Associate degree applicants must be enrolled at least half-time in an eligible program at an accredited Colorado community college, technical college, or university technical division
  • Associate degree applicants must have completed at least one full semester or quarter in their program at the time of application
  • Associate degree applicants must remain enrolled in their program through Fall
  • First-year and second-year associate degree students may apply
  • Associate degree applicants must demonstrate an understanding of technician and para-professional roles within consulting engineering and land surveying

Application Process

  1. Create or access your profile through the ACEC National Research Institute scholarship application platform.
  2. Complete the requested profile information to be matched with scholarships for which you may qualify.
  3. Select the appropriate ACEC Colorado scholarship opportunity based on whether you are pursuing a bachelor's or associate degree.
  4. Complete the online scholarship application and provide all requested academic and eligibility information.
  5. Submit all required supporting materials through the scholarship platform.
  6. Review the application for completeness and submit it by the published deadline.

ACEC Colorado Scholarship & Education Foundation is organized as a 501(c)(3) organization to support and promote education in the field of engineering within Colorado by raising awareness of consulting engineering as a career choice and utilizing the combined resources of ACEC Colorado members and industry partners to become more impactful in the fundraising and sustainability of foundation assets.
