Scholarship Description

The Red Boucher Scholarship honors the late H.A. “Red” Boucher and was established by the Alaska Society for Technology in Education in 2008. Applicants must be a graduating senior (homeschooled students included), or previous graduate, of an Alaskan high school, be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and must be formally enrolled full-time in a technology-related program by the beginning of the semester they will use the award. Applicants must have the goal of pursuing a career in a technology related field and demonstrate motivation, academic and/or leadership potential. Prior year awardees are eligible to apply again. Priority will be given to students who are able to demonstrate financial need.

Scholarship recipients must submit student ID number and program information by June 30 to ACF through the online system before the award can be disbursed. Failure to do so will be an automatic forfeiture of the award unless student chooses an award deferment. Scholarships at the Alaska Community Foundation are made possible by passionate donors who are committed to helping Alaska’s students pursue their educational dreams.
