The Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives established this scholarship in honor of Foster G. McGaw, the founder of the American Hospital Supply Corporation. This scholarship is offered to provide financial aid to students in healthcare management graduate programs to help offset tuition costs, student loans and expenses. Offered annually, the Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarship is designated for students enrolled in their final year of a healthcare management graduate program. Each scholarship is worth $5,000.
To be eligible, applicants must: be pursuing a Master's degree (MHA, MPH or MBA); be entering their final year (fall/spring) of full-time study; expect to graduate between September 1 of the current year and August 31 of the following year; demonstrate financial need; be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (or a resident of Canada); and not be a previous recipient of this scholarship. Applications are accepted between the beginning of January and the due date. All applicants will be notified about the status of their application by letter in July.
