The Aero Club Foundation of Washington fosters and promotes interest in the principles and development of aviation and aeronautics by establishing, sponsoring and supporting student education programs at public and public charter schools in the District of Columbia.
Scholarship Details
- Sponsored by the Aero Club Foundation of Washington
- Supports students pursuing aviation or aerospace education and careers
- Standard scholarship award is $5,000
- Scholarship funds are paid directly to the recipient's educational institution
- Eligible programs include accredited colleges, universities, technical schools, aviation maintenance training, and approved flight training programs
- Recipients may receive up to four scholarship awards over multiple years by reapplying annually
- Scholarship funds must be used within two years of the award date
Eligibility Criteria
- Must demonstrate a passion for aviation or aerospace and intend to pursue a related career
- First-time applicants must be current students or alumni of a public or public charter high school in the District of Columbia metropolitan area
- Eligible applicants may reside in the District of Columbia or the jurisdictions of Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Prince George's County, or Montgomery County
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must pursue aviation or aerospace education at an accredited college, university, technical school, aviation maintenance program, or approved flight training program
- Previous scholarship recipients may reapply if they continue to meet eligibility requirements
- United States citizenship is not required
Application Process

- Verify that all application materials are complete before submission
