To achieve our purpose to support LGBTQIA+ Aggies everywhere, the Aggie Pride Former Student Network seeks to recognize 10 outstanding students pursuing an undergraduate college education at Texas A&M University. As stated in our Aggie value of Respect, we "appreciate, learn from and create a welcoming and inclusive environment that values uniqueness, diversity and a sense of community."
Scholarship Details
- Ten scholarships awarded annually
- Each recipient receives $1,000
- Award is distributed during the Fall semester
- Funds are sent directly to the college or university
- Open to incoming freshmen, transfer students, and current undergraduate students at Texas A&M University
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be attending or planning to attend Texas A&M University
- Must not yet have earned a bachelor’s degree
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
- Must be a Texas resident
- Must complete FAFSA or TASFA and provide verification
- Must demonstrate commitment to inclusion and support of LGBTQIA+ communities
Application Process
- Complete the online scholarship application.
- Upload an unofficial academic transcript.
- Submit one letter of recommendation.
- Provide FAFSA Submission Summary or TASFA documentation.
- Ensure all documents have sensitive information removed before uploading.
- Application deadline is April 3rd
With this scholarship for current or prospective students, we aim to extend and foster that welcome and seek students similarly invested in paying forward this Aggie tradition of welcome and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ Aggies.
