Agrawal Fellowship for Resilient Scholars provides comprehensive academic, financial, wellness, and social support to high-achieving Bay Area students who have lost a parent. Through a cohort-based model, we ensure students have the resources, community, and guidance they need to thrive in college and beyond.
Scholarship Details

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a current high school student in the San Francisco Bay Area
- Must attend school in one of the nine eligible counties: San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Napa, Sonoma, or Solano
- Must have experienced the loss of a biological, adoptive, step-parent, or legal guardian
- Must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate college readiness
- Must be accepted to a four-year college or university
- Must be willing to actively participate in fellowship activities, programming, and community engagement
- Should demonstrate resilience, personal growth, and service-minded values
Application Process
- Confirm eligibility based on location, academic standing, and personal circumstances
- Apply and gain admission to a four-year college or university
- Prepare application materials demonstrating academic commitment, resilience, and community involvement
- Submit the fellowship application by the posted deadline
- Participate in interviews or additional selection activities if requested
- Engage fully in cohort programming upon selection
