AIA CM is here to help architects and designers with resources, networking opportunities and up to date information about the architecture community in Central Massachusetts. Last year, the AIA Central Massachusetts (AIA CM) Scholarship Program awarded $2,000 to a student in a NAAB-accredited program at Howard University and another $1,000 to a student in a local architecture program at WPI.
Scholarship Details
- Minimum $500 scholarship for students in community college or technical college architectural programs
- Minimum $1,000 scholarship for students in full-time NAAB-accredited architectural degree programs
- Funds credited to student accounts for tuition and/or educational materials
- Award recipients featured in AIA CM Newsletter and invited to the awards program dinner
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be enrolled in a U.S.-accredited architectural program
- Must meet at least one of the following:
- Massachusetts resident attending an accredited U.S. College of Architecture or a technical/community college program
- Student studying full-time at a Massachusetts-based architectural program and a U.S. resident
- Interning with an architectural firm based in Massachusetts
- Priority given to students from or studying in Central Massachusetts
- High school graduates accepted into an eligible architectural program for freshman year are also eligible
- Must be continuing architectural studies in the coming academic year
Application Process
- Complete a brief essay explaining your efforts and why you believe you should be selected
- Include your name and email address on each page of the essay
- Obtain one letter of recommendation from a faculty member
- Submit all application materials by 9:00 PM on Monday, June 30th
