The AIFS Cultural Engagement Scholarship provides financial assistance to high-achieving students who want to maximize their cultural engagement while studying or interning abroad. Applicants must demonstrate high academic engagement and/or participate in community service activities.
Scholarship Details
- Award amount is $5,000
- Up to four scholarships are available for the fall semester
- Up to four scholarships are available for the spring semester
- Available for eligible study abroad and internship abroad programs
- Scholarship recipients are encouraged to actively engage with the culture and community of their destination
Eligibility Criteria
- Must demonstrate strong academic achievement and/or community service involvement
- Must participate in an eligible study abroad or internship abroad program
- Must complete both the scholarship application and applicable program application
Application Process
- Complete the AIFS Cultural Engagement Scholarship application.
- Complete the application for your selected study abroad or internship abroad program.
- Highlight your academic accomplishments, community service, and interest in meaningful cultural engagement.
- Submit all required materials by April 15 for the fall semester, October 1 for the spring semester, or March 1 for summer programs.
