The Albert Baker Fund (ABF) provides tuition scholarships to Christian Scientists who have demonstrated financial need and are pursuing degrees or certificates at accredited post-secondary institutions including community colleges, colleges, universities, graduate schools, and vocational training programs.
Scholarship Details
- Up to $7,500 awarded per academic year
- Scholarship amount is based on demonstrated financial need
- Funds are used for tuition and fees only
- Scholarship funds are paid directly to the educational institution
- Available for students in the U.S. and select countries where ABF operates
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a student of Christian Science and a current member of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
- Must provide a Christian Science reference
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
- Must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited post-secondary institution
- Must be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.5 GPA from the most recently completed term
- Must demonstrate financial need as shown by a FAFSA or equivalent documentation
- Must be making satisfactory progress toward a degree or certificate
Application Process
- Confirm eligibility, including church membership and enrollment status
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Obtain a Christian Science reference
- Prepare academic transcripts showing GPA and enrollment
- Apply online through the Albert Baker Fund website
- Submit all required materials by the application deadline
