Scholarship Description

The Altrusa Club of Corvallis & Central Willamette Credit Union First Generation Scholarship offers a nonrenewable, one-time award of $2,000.00. This opportunity is specifically designed to support graduating high school students from Benton County whose parent(s) or guardian(s) did not complete a bachelor’s degree.

Scholarship Details

  • One-time scholarship award of $2,000
  • Nonrenewable scholarship for the coming academic year
  • Funds will be distributed after verification of enrollment for Fall Term
  • Application deadline is March 16th

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a graduating high school senior from Benton County, Oregon
  • Applicant’s parent or guardian must not have completed a bachelor’s degree
  • Must complete all application questions and short essay
  • Must submit an unofficial high school transcript
  • Must provide one letter of reference from someone not affiliated with Altrusa

Application Process

  1. Complete the scholarship application form and respond to the required essay questions.
  2. Prepare and include an unofficial high school transcript.
  3. Request a letter of reference that includes the writer’s name, phone number, and email address.
  4. Submit the completed application, transcript, and reference letter by email or mail.
  5. Ensure all materials are received by March 16th.

You can send your application, unofficial transcript, and reference letter by email (which is preferred) or by mail. Make sure all materials arrive no later than March 16th. Scholarship funds will be disbursed upon receipt of verified registration and enrollment for Fall Term by Altrusa International of Corvallis.
