Scholarship Description

The Veterans’ Fund provides support of up to US $40,000 to Australian and American Veterans undertaking or planning to undertake full-time Undergraduate or Graduate level study in any disciplinary field, at an accredited educational institution in the Australia to USA direction or USA to Australia direction.

Scholarship Details

  • Open to U.S. and Australian post-9/11 veterans
  • Supports study in the USA or Australia in any discipline
  • Up to $40,000 in funding for tuition, travel, and other educational expenses
  • May be combined with other veteran support programs like the GI Bill

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a post-9/11 military veteran from the USA or Australia
  • Must be undertaking or planning to undertake full-time undergraduate or graduate study
  • Must have an offer or acceptance from an accredited institution in the USA or Australia

Application Process

  1. Prepare a high-resolution headshot and a photo of you in your study field
  2. Record a video (max 1 minute) introducing yourself and your study plans
  3. Upload a copy of your passport biographic page (USA or Australia)
  4. Provide an offer/acceptance letter from your host university or research supervisor
  5. Submit academic transcripts for past undergraduate or graduate studies, if applicable
  6. Upload a one-page resume
  7. Complete a detailed budget using the provided template in the application portal
  8. List three referees in the Letter of Recommendation section; they will be contacted automatically
